SERVICES: 2:00 PM Monday, April 4, 2005, at the First Presbyterian Church, with Dr. Edwin Cooley, pastor, officiating.BURIAL: Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Stewart was born August 15, 1926 in Wilson, Oklahoma. He and his family moved to Pampa in 1944. Both he and his father went to work for Cities Service Natural Gas Co. Shortly after turning 18, he was called for Army service and served in the South Pacific and with the Occupational Army in Japan for two years. Upon returning to Pampa, he again worked for Cities Service Company, retiring in 1986 with just under 42 years of service. He was born the year the plant was built and retired the day the plant was shut down. Mr. Stewart married Alice Jean Robinson on September 3, 1949. They enjoyed the many things they were involved in for over 55 years. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Pampa. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Marion and Hazel Stewart, and by two infant sons.SURVIVORS: Wife: Jean Stewart of the home. 1 Son: Randy Stewart and wife Julie of Amarillo. 1 Grandson: Chase Stewart of Amarillo. 1 Step-Grandson: Paul Chitwood and wife Heather of Lubbock. 1 Brother: Clent Stewart and wife Pat of Pampa. 1 Brother-in-Law: Keith Robinson and wife Mary Ann of Pampa. 2 Nieces: Lesa Schafer and husband Billy Wayne and daughters Katie and Patsy, all of Canadian; and Lena Lowry and husband Lee and daughters Lariat and London, all of Pampa, and a host of good friends and neighbors who have prayed faithfully for Ocie through his long illness.
