SERVICES: 10:00 AM Thursday, March 31, 2005, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel in Pampa, with Glen Walton, minister of the Bell Avenue Church of Christ of Amarillo, and Rodney Tedford, minister of the Mary Ellen & Harvester Church of Christ of Pampa, officiating.BURIAL: Memory Gardens Cemetery in Pampa, under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Horner was born May 24, 1916 in Crescent, Oklahoma. He had been a resident of Skellytown since 1946. He married Dorothy Evans on October 15, 1942 in Claremore, Oklahoma. She preceded him in death in 2000. He and his brother, Clyde Horner, were co-owners and operators of Horner Brothers Grocery in Skellytown for 40 years, retiring in 1986. He was a member of the Skellytown Church of Christ and was a charter member of the Skellytown Lions Club since 1952.SURVIVORS: 1 Daughter: Peggy Ross & husband Larry of Spring. 1 Son: Tommy Horner of Mineral Wells. 1 Grandson: Larry Ross II and wife Jo Anna of Spring.
