SERVICES: 2:00 PM Monday, March 7, 2005, at Trinity Fellowship Church, with Pastor Lonny Robbins officiating.BURIAL: Graveside services will be at 4:00 PM Monday, March 7, 2005, at the Mobeetie Cemetery, with military rites accorded by Altus Air Force Base personnel. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Elliott was born July 19, 1934 in Cleveland, Arkansas, and moved to east Texas at the age of 11. He began his career in the U. S. Air Force in 1952. He served in Vietnam, Thailand, Spain, Australia, Okinawa and Guam. He was awarded numerous military honors. He retired after 20 years of service as a Master Sergeant. After his retirement from the Air Force, he became a mail carrier for the U. S. Postal Service, retiring in January of 1997. He married Naomi "Dutch" Scribner on April 30, 1956. He had been a resident of Pampa since 1972. He was active as a volunteer and grounds keeper for the Old Mobeetie Jail Association. He was also emcee and a major fundraiser for the Mobeetie Music Festival. He was preceded in death by his parents, 5 sisters and 2 brothers.SURVIVORS: Wife: "Dutch" Elliott of the home. 1 Daughter: Patti Williams & husband Vic of Pampa. 3 Sons: Steve Elliott & wife Angie of Borger, and Mark Elliott & wife Patty, and Brad Elliott, all of Pampa. 1 Sister: Geraldine Jordan of Leonard. 1 Brother: Richard Elliott of Wenatchee, Washington. 9 Grandchildren, 3 Great-Grandchildren. MEMORIALS: Don & Sybil Harrington Cancer Center, 1500 Wallace Blvd., Amarillo, Texas 79106, or a favorite charity.
