SERVICES: 2:00 PM Saturday, January 29, 2005, at the First United Methodist Church, with John Curry officiating.BURIAL: Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Miss Mullinax was born October 31, 1909 in Clovis, New Mexico, to Wilburn & Callie Turney Mullinax. She moved to Pampa with her family as a young girl. She attended Pampa schools, graduating from Pampa High School in 1927. She received a B.S. degree from West Texas State University. She taught school in Lefors from 1929-1931, and taught third grade for the Pampa Independent School District for forty-four years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, the Friendship Sunday School Class and the United Methodist Women. She was a member of the Delta Kappa Gamma, Texas State Teachers' Association, Texas Retired Teachers' Association, and the Pampa Fine Arts Association. She was preceded in death by a sister, June Mullinax Fields and a brother, W. Turney Mullinax.SURVIVORS: 1 Sister: Beth Karr & husband Robert of Amarillo. 3 Nephews: Dr. Robert Karr of Essex, Connecticut, John Karr of Atlanta, Georgia, and Steve Mullinax of Portland, Oregon. 8 Nieces: Mary Beth Karr of Buffalo, New York, Patty Mullinax of Tigard, Oregon, Jan Bloom, Joanie Mullinax and Sherry Weinstein, all of Houston, Linda Fields and Jenny Mullinax, both of Austin, and Carol Kennedy of Sherman.
