He married Ruby Dezern on December 24, 1938, and she preceded him in death on April 26, 1977. He later married Ruth Nichols on December 20, 1994 in Miami. He had been a resident of Pampa since 1994, moving from Borger. He was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge in Pampa for 46 years, and was a member of the Monday Night Swingers Dance Club in Pampa. He was a member of the First Christian Church of Borger. SURVIVORS: Wife: Ruth Lard of the home. 2 Sons: Archie W. Lard of Canyon, and Billy W. Lard of Duncan, Oklahoma. 2 Daughters: Patricia A. Long of Banning, California, and Glenda Strey of Cleburne. 2 Sisters: Fannye Jean Greenhouse of Miami, and Maurita Welch of Alpine, California. Many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 2 Step-Sons: L. B. Nichols of Wichita Falls, and A. L. Nichols of Springtown. 2 Step-Daughters: Donnie Jensen of Mattawa, Washington, and Doris A. Dillon of Iowa Park.
