SERVICES: Services will be 2:00 PM Monday January 10, 2005 at in White Deer United Methodist Church in White Deer, Texas with Dr. Max Browning, retired Methodist minister and Rev. Bailey Barkley, minister of Texline United Methodist Church, officiating.BURIAL: White Deer Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa.BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Parsley was born March 1, 1935 in Gray County, Texas. He married Kathleen McDaniel September 4, 1955 in Clayton, New Mexico. He graduated from Wayland Baptist University in 1979. He served as a Methodist minister in several towns including: Quitaque, Flomot, Lorenzo, Hamlin, Crowell, Olton, Trinity Plainview, Haskell, Lazbuddie, Oklahoma Lane, and Seagraves. He retired in 1997. He has lived in Felt, Oklahoma for the last 4 years. He served on Ministerial Alliance in most of the towns he served in. He was past member of Rotary International and Lions Club. He was preceded in death by a grandchild and a brother, Sammy Parsley. SURVIVORS: Wife: Kathleen Parsley of the home. 1 daughter: Debra Goss and husband Brian of Whitharral, Tx. 3 sons: Shane Parsley and wife Mary of White Deer, Tx., Dane Parsley and wife Debbie of White Deer, Tx., and Kirk Parsley and wife Elise of Crowell, Tx. 2 brothers: Larry Parsley of White Deer, Tx., and Lonnie Parsley of Weatherford, Ok. 1 sister: Sallie Stidger of Amarillo, Tx. Brother in Christ: Dr. Max Browning and wife Juanita of Plainview, Tx. 13 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
