SERVICES: 10:00 AM Friday, January 7, 2005, at the Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel, with Dr. Johnny Funderburg, pastor of the First Baptist Church, officiating.BURIAL: Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Washbourne was born March 31, 1923 in Jay, Oklahoma. He married Lillian Anderson on March 8, 1946 in Pampa. She preceded him in death on July 22, 1971. He was an engineer with Northern Natural Gas for 40 years, retiring in 1986. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army, serving during World War II. He was a member of the First Baptist Church and a life member of the VFW Post #1657 in Pampa. SURVIVORS: 2 Sons: Robert Washbourne of Gans, Oklahoma, and Michael Washbourne of Corpus Christi. 1 Daughter: Barbara Jones of Arlington. 3 Sisters: Dixie Huffman of Skiatook, Oklahoma, Virginia Weaver of Paramount, California, and Norma Woods of Fairmont City, California. 6 Grandchildren, 6 Great-Grandchildren.MEMORIALS: American Cancer Society, c/o Gerry Caylor, 2130 Charles, Pampa, Texas 79065.
