BURIAL: Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mrs. King was born January 7, 1916 in Baylor County, Texas, to William Jefferson & Maggie Caroline Howe Hazelwood. She had been a resident of Pampa since 1934. She married Jim King April 26, 1936 in Sayre, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on March 19, 2000. She was a nurse for the Pampa Clinic for 25 years. She was a member of the First Christian Church.SURVIVORS: 1 Daughter: Carolyn Gerik of Pampa. 1 Son: Robert Mike King of Pampa. 2 Sisters: Betty Gillis of Littleton, Colorado, and Letty McGahan of Savannah, Georgia. 1 Brother: Jay Hazelwood of Amarillo. 4 Grandchildren, 7 Great-Grandchildren, 3 Great-Great-Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Mindy Hutchens in 1996.MEMORIALS: BSA Hospice, 800 N. Sumner, Pampa, Texas 79065.
