SERVICES: 2:00 PM Wednesday, December 15, 2004, at the Highland Baptist Church, with Rev. Fines Marchman, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Skellytown, and Rev. Paul Nachtigall, pastor of the Highland Baptist Church, officiating.BURIAL: Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Dr. Gordon was born February 18, 1928 in New Jersey. He was an ordained Baptist minister for many years, serving in Texas, Oklahoma and Missouri. He received his doctorate from the Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He held revivals in Brazil, Alaska and throughout the Southwest United States. On April 2, 1948, he married the love of his life, Betty Mae Wren in Washington, D.C. He was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force, serving during World War II. SURVIVORS: Wife: Betty Gorson of the home. 2 Sons: Robert Gorson, Jr., and wife Myglo of Huntington Beach, California, and Ronald Paul Gorson of Salem, Missouri. 2 Grandchildren: Robert Thomas Gorson, III, and wife Gina, and Andrea Gorson. 1 Great-Grandchild: Brian Kohut.
