SERVICES: 11:00 AM Monday, November 29, 2004, at Central Baptist Church with Rev. Norman Rushing, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Childress, Rev. Charlie Floyd, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Texola, Oklahoma, Rev. C. W. Parker, pastor of Central Baptist Church and Rev. Rick Parnell, associate pastor of Central Baptist Church, officiating.BURIAL: Graveside services will be at 3:00 PM Monday, November 29, 2004, at the Shamrock Cemetery in Shamrock, under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. BIOGRAPHY: The daughter of E. J. & Frances Norman, she was born Ethra Jean Frances Norman on January 30, 1931 in Morse, Texas. She was reared in Wellington. She was a 1948 graduate of Wellington High School where she was a featured baton twirler with the Skyrocket band. She married Bill Rushing on March 1, 1949 in Wellington. They lived in the Shamrock area for several years. She worked as a clerk for the Texas Department of Public Welfare in Shamrock for 10 years. Her husband entered the pastorate in 1968 and she served with him in churches in Texola, Oklahoma, Plainview, Lela, and Samnorwood, Texas. Upon the death of her husband in 1979, she was appointed Justice of the Peace at Shamrock. She moved to Pampa in 1980 where she lived until her death. She was a faithful member of the Central Baptist Church where she enjoyed her Sunday School class and many friends. SURVIVORS: 2 Sons: Kelly Rushing & wife Gimmye of Pampa and Norman Rushing & wife I. B. of Childress. 1 Brother: Reece Norman & wife Gloria of Grandfield, Oklahoma. Step-Mother: Thelma Norman of Childress. 6 Grandchildren: Tracye Levick of New Jersey, Pattye Guy & husband David of Ft. Riley, Kansas, Jennifer Jones & husband Daimon and Valerie Rushing, all of Pampa, Julie Wirt & husband Jared and Billy Rushing, all of Canyon. 7 Great-Grandchildren: Charlie Murphy of Arkansas and Amy Levick of New Jersey, Emma Guy & Leigha Guy both of Ft. Riley, Kansas, Jacob Wirt & Jadon Wirt, both of Canyon, and Jaxon Jones of Pampa. MEMORIALS: Central Baptist Church Building Fund, 513 E. Francis, Pampa, Texas 79065
