She attended business college in Shawnee, Oklahoma. She moved to Pampa in 1933 from Laketon. She married Jack Back on July 20, 1950 in Clayton, New Mexico. He preceded her in death in 1993. She retired as a medical secretary for Dr. Joe Donaldson and Dr. Ed Williams at the Medical Arts Clinic. She was a member of the Wells Street Church of Christ.SURVIVORS: 1 Daughter: Jackie Pyeatt & husband A. F. of Amarillo. 4 Grandchildren: Clay Rice & wife Beth of Pampa, Kymm Murray of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Mark Pyeatt & wife Diana of Dallas, and Christy Houchin & husband Jeff of El Paso. 4 Great-Grandchildren: Shane Murray of Stillwater, Oklahoma, Zac Murray of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Jennifer Muns of Amarillo, and Brenden Rice of Pampa. 1 Great-Great-Grandson: Keegan Muns of Amarillo. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Doris Rice in October of 2004, and a son-in-law, Bill Rice in 2002. MEMORIALS: to a favorite charity.
