SERVICES: Graveside services will be at 3:00 PM Saturday, September 25, 2004, at Fairview Cemetery, with Dr. Edwin Cooley, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Doucette was born January 22, 1915 in Gray County, where he had been a lifelong resident. He was a 1933 graduate of Pampa High School and received a B. S. degree in mechanical engineering from Texas Tech University. He married Adalen Brazil on October 4, 1947 in Pampa. She preceded him in death in 1970. He was a registered professional mechanical engineer and worked for Cabot Machinery for 26 1/2 years. In 1965 he established A-1 Rental Service which he owned and operated until 1997. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army Air Corps, serving during World War II, where he was a Captain of the ground crew for the P-38 67th Fighter Squadron stationed in the South Pacific. He was a life member of the Texas Society of Professional Engineers and was a member of the National Society of Professional Engineers. SURVIVORS: 1 Son: Bob Doucette of Pampa. 3 Grandsons: David Edward Doucette of Lubbock, Jeremy Arlie Doucette and Christopher Berton Doucette, both of Pampa. 1 Granddaughter: Amber Michelle Weatherly of Bridgeport. 9 Great-Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Albert Doucette and LeFors Doucette, and 1 sister, Dorothy Biery. MEMORIALS: The Book of Remembrance, First Presbyterian Church, 525 N.
