SERVICES: 2:00 PM Thursday, September 23, 2004, at Memory Gardens West Mausoleum, with Rev. Don Hogan of Henrietta, Texas, officiating. BURIAL: Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Tackett was born January 8, 1926 in Marshall, Arkansas. He had been a longtime resident of Pampa. He married Rose Riley on July 25, 1964 in Mobeetie. He worked for IRI International for 10 years and Electric Supply for over 20 years. He was a member of the Hobart Baptist Church and was a veteran of the U. S. Navy, serving during World War II.SURVIVORS: Wife: Rose Tackett of the home. 3 Daughters: Sandra Byram of Amarillo, and Renee Abernathy and Chalenia Freeman, both of Pampa. 1 Son: Rick Tackett of White Deer. 1 Brother: J. A. Tackett of Amarillo. 4 Sisters: Bobbie Mullins of Stockton, California, Ruble Woodward of Springdale, Arkansas, and Ora Mae Hedrick and Gloria June Marlar, both of Pampa. 13 Grandchildren, 10 Great-Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, J. C.
