SERVICES: Graveside services will be at 3:00 PM Monday at Speermoore Cemetery in Harper County, Oklahoma, with Pastor David Hearon, of the Booker Friends Church in Booker, officiating. Arrangements are by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa and Myatt-Seeger Funeral Home in Laverne, Oklahoma.BIOGRAPHY: Jr. was born June 25, 1929 at Olney, Texas. He married Patsy Halliburton on Feb. 1, 1971 in Clovis, NM. He worked all his life in the oil fields, moving to Pampa in 1970 while working at Land and Marine. He worked at Windsor Well Service and Curtis Well Service and later was a co-owner in Big 3 Drilling for many years with Jack and Joe Curtis. He always enjoyed going to Curtis Well Service to see everyone after he had retired. He was preceded in death by his younger sister, Janice Blaylock, and his younger brother, Wayne Carr.SURVIVORS: Wife: Patsy Carr of the home; 2 sons: J. D. Carr and wife Cindy of Fritch, and Marvin Carr and wife Corlis of Burleson; 3 daughters: Mary Jane Carr of Grand Prairie, Teri Carr, and Kim Lewis and husband Tim, all of Laverne, OK; 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; a sister-in-law: Rose Marie Carr of Wichita Falls; 2 nephews: Scott and Steve Carr, both of Wichita Falls, and 1 niece: Shelly Collier of Mansfield.MEMORIALS: The family suggests memorials be to a favorite charity.SPECIAL NOTICE: Mr. Carr will lie in state from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM Sunday at Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Home with visitation scheduled from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Visitation in Laverne will be from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM Monday at Myatt-Seeger Funeral Home.
