SERVICES: Graveside services will be at 10:00 AM, Monday September 13, 2004 at Fairview Cemetery in Pampa, with Rev. C. W. Parker, Jr. pastor of Central Baptist Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Born July 11, 1918 in Pampa where he had been a lifelong resident. He married Velda Richards on February 24, 1940 in Pampa. She preceded him in death on June 4, 2002. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army where he was a Staff Sgt. He served in Normandy on Omaha Beach. He retired as a pumper from Chevron after 32 ½ years of service. Preceded in death by a son: Richard "Rick" Archer in 2001.SURVIVORS: 1 Daughter: Linda Robinson of Seminole. 4 Grandsons.
