BIOGRAPHY: Mrs. Kelly was born October 1, 1928 in Canadian. She had been a resident of White Deer most of her life. She graduated from White Deer High School and graduated from Mary Hardin-Baylor University in Belton where she received her B. S. degree in Home Economics. During college, she was state president of the Home Economics Students Association and president of the Royal Academia Honor Society. She married C. C. Kelly on August 12, 1948 in White Deer. She was a homemaker. She was a substitute teacher in both the White Deer and Skellytown schools for over 40 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and a leader and director of the G.A.'s. She was a member of the Baptist Women's Group, and taught Vacation Bible School. She was a member of the Delta Kappa Gamma National Teachers Organization and the Venada Blanco Study Club.SURVIVORS: Husband: C. C. Kelly of the home. 1 Son: Frank Evans Kelly & wife Carolyn Steward Kelly of New Orleans, Louisiana. 1 Daughter: Kimberly Kelly Russell of Dallas. 1 Brother: Brian Ed Evans of White Deer. 3 Sisters: Nancy Evans White of Texarkana, Texas, and Carolyn Evans Carpenter and Barbara Evans Browning, both of Plainview. 5 Grandchildren: Scott Alan Kelly of Gretna, Louisiana, Kyle Wayne Kelly and Beth Wood Kelly, both of Slidell, Louisiana, and Jennifer Lynne Russell and Jonathan Michael Russell, both of Dallas. 1 Great-Granddaughter: Elizabeth Grace Kelly of Slidell, Louisiana.
