SERVICES: Graveside services will be at 10:00 AM Wednesday, September 8, 2004, at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Pampa, Texas, with Rev. Andy Dietz, associate pastor of the First Baptist Church of Borger, Texas, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa, Texas. BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Stroup was born April 15, 1915 in Blackburn, Oklahoma. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Borger, Texas, and was a 32nd degree Mason. He worked for the Santa Fe Railroad as a yard master until his retirement.SURVIVORS: Wife: Marion Stroup of Fredericksburg, Maryland. 1 Daughter: Elizabeth "Libby" Livingston of Flippin, Arkansas. 1 Sister: Lillian Fowler of Amarillo, Texas. 2 Grandchildren: Randy Livingston of Flippin, Arkansas, and Jeff Livingston of Austin, Texas. 4 Great-Grandchildren: Trevor Livingston of Kansas City, Missouri, Tyler Livingston and Lindsey Livingston, both of Flippin, Arkansas, and Lauren Livingston of Austin, Texas.MEMORIALS: Flippin First Baptist Church Building Fund.
