SERVICES: Graveside services will be at 12:30 PM Friday, July 16, 2004, at Fairview Cemetery, with Pastor Leonard Cummings of the Pampa Seventh Day Adventist Church, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mrs. Childers was born March 31, 1927 in Hartman, Arkansas to Dillon and Marie Brown. She married Donald Dean Childers on August 15, 1943 in Pampa. She had been a resident of Pampa since 1930 where she worked as secretary and co-owner of Don's T. V. Sales & Service. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Pampa. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers, Dual Lee Brown and Paul Eugene (Bill) Brown.SURVIVORS: Husband: Donald Dean Childers of the home. 2 Sons: Dan Childers & wife Patty of Louisville, Colorado, and Bruce Childers & wife Lee of Keene. 1 Sister: Betty Childers of Bend, Oregon. 3 Brothers: Dillon Leroy Brown of Pioneer, California, Bob Ray Brown of Morgan City, Louisiana, and Jim Gerald Brown of Redding, California. 1 Grandson: Clinton Childers. 1 Granddaughter: Hillary Messersmith.
