SERVICES: Graveside services will be at 10:00 AM Friday, June 4, 2004, at Fairview Cemetery, with Pastor Harold Eggert of the New Life Assembly of God, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mrs. Long was born April 13, 1904 in Alida, Kansas. She was one of nine children ? 3 boys and 6 girls. She graduated from Pampa High School where she was secretary of her class. She was in charge of the produce department at Ideal Food Stores during World War II. She also worked for the City of Pampa where she was in charge of the water wells and water towers, and she pumped water while all the men were at defense jobs.SURVIVORS: 1 Daughter: Mary Seedig of Pampa. 1 Son: Roger Long of Portland, Oregon. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur C. Long in 1967, a son, Owen Long in 2002, and a daughter, Carole Sue Butler in 2003.
