SERVICES: 2:00 PM Tuesday, May 25, 2004, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel, with Rev. Carl Novian, associate pastor of the First Baptist Church, officiating. BURIAL: Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mrs. Mitchell was born August 24, 1922 in Little Rock, Arkansas. She had been a resident of Pampa since 1939. She married John C. Mitchell on October 19, 1940 in Pampa. He preceded her in death on November 6, 1981. She served as chief deputy with the Gray County Treasury Office for 16 years under Jean Scott, and as coordinator of the Indigent Care for Judge Carl Kennedy. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and the Business and Professional Women's Bible Class. She was preceded in death by a sister Margie Eads, a brother Walter Barham, and her dear friend Essie Mae Walters. SURVIVORS: 1 Daughter: Johnlyn Mitchell of Dallas. Many nieces and nephews.
