SERVICES: Graveside services will be at 1:00 PM Saturday, May 15, 2004, at Fairview Cemetery, with Rev. Norman Rushing, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Childress, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mrs. Long was born September 17, 1932 in Floydada, Texas. She had been a resident of Pampa since 1947, moving from Skellytown. She married Owen Long on October 11, 1947 in Pampa. He preceded her in death on July 8, 2002. She was employed by Marie Foundations and was later a dispatcher for Alibates Trucking Co. She was a member of the Central Baptist Church, and a former member of the Pampa Chapter #65 Order of the Easter Star. She was preceded in death by two sons, Paul Long and Phillip Long.SURVIVORS: 1 Daughter: Pama Miller & husband Stan of Pampa. 2 Sisters: Bonnie Jordan of Fort Worth, and Glenda Folley of Hemphill. 3 Granddaughters: Jesaka Long of Seattle, Washington, Amanda Soukup & husband Dave of Amarillo, and Laura Miller & fiance Daniel Frye of Houston. 1 Grandson: Justin Long of Pampa. 2 Great-Granddaughters: Bailey Soukup and Tori Soukup, both of Amarillo.MEMORIALS: Odyssey Hospice, 1000 S. Jefferson, Amarillo, Texas 79101.SPECIAL NOTICE: The family will be at 109 E. 27th in Pampa.
