SERVICES: Memorial services will be at 1:00 PM Wednesday, May 5, 2004, at Calvary Baptist Church, with Rev. Richard Bartel, pastor, and Mr. Walt Parry, officiating. BURIAL: Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM Wednesday, May 5, 2004, at Fairview Cemetery, under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Shed was born July 2, 1929 in Lampasas to Jesse Thomas & Ida Mae Shed. He attended Ranger Jr. College in Abilene, earning an Associates Degree. He served as a tank commander in the U. S. Army during the Korean Conflict, serving from April 1951 until 1953 when he received an honorable discharge. He married Janie Meador on January 16, 1976 at the First Christian Church in Pampa. He was a real estate broker and co-owner of Shed Realtors from 1977 until the time of his death. He was an avid golfer, a hard working business man, a selfless giver, and a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was an active member of the Calvary Baptist Church, serving in the church choir. SURVIVORS: Wife: Janie of the home. Children: Donna Brown & husband Alan of Houston, Susan Herb & husband Ben of Abilene, Larry Shed & wife Marty of Houston, Gary Meador & wife Tanya of Amarillo, and Karen McGahen & husband Dicky of Pampa. Grandchildren: Jillian & Patrick Brown of Houston, Rebecca, Emily and Daniel Herb of Abilene, Jeffrey and Sarah Shed of Houston, Kendal Meador of Amarillo, and Shelby and Shealyn McGahen of Pampa. 2 Brothers: Hubert Shed and Clarence Shed, both of San Antonio. 1 Sister: Mattie Mae Diem of Lampasas.
