SERVICES: 2:00 PM, Saturday, March 27, 2004, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel, with Rev. J. C. Burt, associate pastor of Cornerstone Baptist Church, officiating.BURIAL: Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. BIOGRAPHY: Mrs. Hill was born July 20, 1940 in Copan, Oklahoma to George E. & Gladys Opal McMaster Ward. She attended schools in Antioch and Wann, and graduated from Copan High School in Copan, Oklahoma in 1958. She married DeWayne Hill on July 28, 1958 in Wildorado, Kansas. She had been a resident of Fritch since 1999, moving from Pampa. She attended Barrett Baptist Church in Pampa. She was a member of the Alibates Good Sam's R.V. Club. She worked for Southwestern Public Service for 20 years, retiring in 1996. SURVIVORS: Husband: DeWayne Hill of the home. 1 Daughter: Janet Bridwell of Pampa. 1 Son: Travis Hill & wife Shonda of Corpus Christi. 1 Granddaughter: Tasha Hill of Corpus Christi. 4 Sisters: Mary Lou Dean of Dewey, Oklahoma, Thelma Faye Thomas and Margaret Ann Ward, both of Copan, Oklahoma, and Sharon Kay Hayden of South Coffeyville, Oklahoma. 3 Brothers: George E. Ward, Jr., of Sedan, Kansas, Glenn E. Ward of Kingfisher, Oklahoma, and Jerry Ward of Wann, Oklahoma. 31 nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, and 2 sisters, Congetta Jean Klause and Georgia Ruth Holland. SPECIAL NOTE: The family will be at 1208 Christine.
