SERVICES: Graveside services will be at 1:30 PM Monday, March 8, 2004 at the Hillcrest Cemetery in McLean. Memorial services will be at 2:00 PM Monday, March 8, 2004, at the United Methodist Church in McLean, with Rev. Thacker Haynes, pastor, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa. BIOGRAPHY: Mrs. Cubine was born December 23, 1908 in Valentine, Texas. Her parents, L. N. & Florence Bridges later moved with their family to Roby, Texas, and then to Knox City, Texas, where she graduated from public schools. She attended and graduated from John Tarleton College in Stephenville, Texas. In 1928, she came to McLean to teach school. There she met Ercy Cubine, and they were married May 24, 1930. She was a devoted homemaker, an active member of the McLean Methodist Church, and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her husband Ercy in 1986, her parents, Florence & L. N. Bridges Sr., and 2 brothers, Jim Bridges and Vernon Bridges. SURVIVORS: 1 Daughter: Floella (Flo) Quattlebaum & husband Neil of Amarillo. 2 Granddaughters: Cindy Thomas of Laredo and Kay Taylor of Amarillo. 4 Great-Grandchildren: Sara Thomas and Christopher Thomas, both of Laredo, and Tiffany Taylor and Trey Taylor, both of Amarillo. 1 Brother: L.
