BURIAL: Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Hinds was born on Jan. 20, 1918 at San Luis Obispo, California. He was raised in Borger and was a 1936 graduate of Borger High School. He married Fern Butcher on Dec. 12, 1941 in Borger. She preceded him in death on Sept. 11, 1988. He had been a resident of Pampa since 1958. He owned and operated the Hinds R. V. Park formerly known as the Clay Trailer Park. He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy during World War II. He was employed as a foreign oilfield worker from 1955-1970. SURVIVORS: 3 daughters: LaJohna Newbould of Livingston, Donna Hinds Scarimbolo of Kent, Washington, and Bonnie Davis of Amarillo; 2 brothers: John Hinds and Bob Hinds, both of Borger; 8 grandchildren: Beverly Reinert, LaDona Legg, Courtney Simpson, LynnAnn Lambright, Cody Davis, Dominique Scarimbolo, Dane Scarimbolo, and Cory Davis; 7 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, Charles Hinds, Jr., a brother, Clem Hinds, and by 4 sisters, Mary Coulter, May Roundtree, Jean Stewart, and Rosalie Roeder.MEMORIALS: Crown of Texas Hospice, 1000 S.
