SERVICES: Graveside services will be at 3:00 PM Friday, February 27, 2004, at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Pampa, Texas, with J. C. Burt, associate pastor of the Cornerstone Baptist Church of Pampa, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa. BIOGRAPHY: Mrs. Carter was born January 8, 1904 in Paris, Texas. She had lived on the Goodnight Ranch for several years before moving to Pampa. She had been a resident of Pampa for approximately 25 years, moving to Bentonville, Arkansas in 1964 and to Gainesville in 2001. She married Bailey Carter on December 31, 1921 in Goodnight. He preceded her in death in 1965. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Goodnight. She was a homemaker. SURVIVORS: 3 Daughters: Wilberine Redus & husband Tom of Corpus Christi, Geraldine Cox & husband Jim of Gainesville, and Martha Fields & husband Ken of Conroe. 1 Son: Bill Carter & wife Boyce of Amarillo. 1 Sister: Wilberine Rawleigh of Clyde, Kansas. 10 Grandchildren, 28 Great-Grandchildren, 16 Great-Great-Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Jimmy Carter in February of 2001, and a sister, Sally Marshall in 1928.MEMORIALS: to a favorite charity.
