SERVICES: 10:00 AM Thursday, February 19, 2004, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel, with Rev. Roger A. Harwerth, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church of Borger, officiating.ENTOMBMENT: Memory Gardens Mausoleum under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Salsman was born March 24, 1922 in Lone Wolf, Oklahoma. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army, serving as a corporal with the 7th Air Force Engineering Squadron during World War II in the Pacific Islands of Hawaii, Oahu, Gilbert Islands, Saipan, Guam and Okinawa. He married Wanda J. Music on June 5, 1946 in Cordell, Oklahoma. He retired from Gifford-Hill Western and moved to Pampa in 1978 where he was employed by Texas Pipe and Metal and Kmart. SURVIVORS: Wife of 57 years: Wanda Jean Salsman of the home. 2 Daughters: Sue Killough of Amarillo, and Kathie Clark of Kingston, Oklahoma. 5 Grandchildren: JoAnn Nalley, Craig Roberts, Brad Killough, Troy Rhodes and Kevin Rhodes. 2 Great-Grandsons, 2 Great-Granddaughters. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers and 1 sister.MEMORIALS: In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to BSA Hospice, 800 N. Sumner, Pampa, Texas 79065.
