SERVICES: 4:00 PM Wednesday, February 11, 2004, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel, with Rev. Charles Lowry, pastor of the Fellowship Baptist Church, officiating.BURIAL: Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Helm was born May 13, 1933 in Childress County, Texas. He married Betty Sue Spencer on August 27, 1955 in Memphis, Texas. He had been a resident of Pampa since 1956. He worked for the Pampa News as a printer from December of 1956 until 1971. He worked for IRI as a printer from 1971 until his retirement in 1994. He was a Baptist.SURVIVORS: Wife: Betty Sue Helm of the home. 2 Daughters: Melinda Sue Scott & husband Marty, and Melissa Rae Garner & husband Terry, all of Pampa. 1 Son: Terry Allen Helm of Pampa. 1 Sister: Ruby Louise Smallwood of Liberal, Kansas. 3 Brothers: Aubrey Helm of Liberal, Kansas, Leon Helm of Memphis, Texas, and Jack Helm of Fort Worth. 7 Grandchildren: Brandon Scott & wife Marie, Cassi Shephard & husband Jon, Shalyn Garner, Teryn Garner, Ashley Helm, and Bobby Helm, all of Pampa, and Heather Pierce & husband Kyle of Amarillo. 4 Great-Grandchildren: Bailie Scott, Emily Scott, Abligail Scott, and Jaryn Shephard, all of Pampa. 2 Brothers-in-Law, and several Sisters-in-Law. He was precedced in death by 3 brothers, Ralph Helm, George Helm, and John Helm, 1 sister, Betty Joe Helm, and 1 granddaughter, Kristen Sue Garner.
