SERVICES: 2:00 PM Wednesday, February 11, 2004, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel, with Rev. Lewis Ellis, a retired Baptist minister, officiating.BURIAL: Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. BIOGRAPHY: Mrs. Sims was born December 11, 1925 in Van Alstyne, Texas. She had lived in Lefors and Pampa since 1946. She married Hubert Sims on January 20, 1946 in Dallas. He preceded her in death in 1989. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church of Lefors. She was an avid musician, playing rhythm guitar with many area musicians for many years.SURVIVORS: 4 Sons: Dickey Sims of Hereford, Gary Sims of Pampa, Ronnie Sims of Lefors, and Hubert Lynn Sims of Olney. 3 Daughters: Nancy Dunlap Brown of Amarillo, Lou Ann Padavich of Canyon, and Jill Marie Dutton of Grapevine. 2 Brothers: Charles Coffey of Pittsburg, Texas, and Loy Lee Coffey of Huntsville. 12 Grandchildren, 6 Great-Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Virginia Sloan, a brother, Jack Coffee, and a grandson, Daniel Sims.MEMORIALS: Don & Sybil Harrington Cancer Center, 1500 Wallace Blvd., Amarillo, Texas 79106.SPECIAL NOTICE: The family will receive friends at the funeral home in Pampa from 6:00-8:00 PM on Tuesday, February 10, 2004. After services, the family will receive friends at the Lefors Community Center at 5:00 PM on Wednesday, February 11, 2004.
