SERVICES: Rosary services will be at 6:00 PM Friday, February 6, 2004, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel in Pampa, and funeral mass will be at 10:00 AM Saturday, February 7, 2004, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in White Deer, with Msgr. Kevin Hand, pastor, officiating.BURIAL: Sacred Heart Cemetery, under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mrs. Barrett was born June 19, 1920 on a large farm near Canute, Oklahoma, to George O. & Ursula Orf Toelle. She married Edward L. Barrett, Sr., on May 18, 1938. He preceded her in death on April 10, 1992, after 54 years of marriage. She was a longtime resident of Alva, Oklahoma, where she worked at Safeway Grocery and made custom draperies. She resided in Perryton for a number of years, doing alterations for a dry cleaners in Perryton. She later opened her own alterations store in Perryton. She had been a resident of White Deer for several years, moving to Wichita, Kansas for the past 5 years. She was a loving and wonderful mother who was always there for her children when they needed her.SURVIVORS: 3 Sons: Edward L. Barrett, Jr., of Rowlett, Randy Barrett of White Deer, and George Barrett of Aurora, Colorado. 3 Daughters: Yvonne Stearns of Guys Mill, Pennsylvania, Shirley Whisman of Wichita, Kansas, and Carolyn Snyder of Panhandle. 14 Grandchildren, 4 Great-Grandchildren. 1 Brother: Charles Toelle. 1 Sister: Sr. Mary Clotilda, Sister of Mercy. 3 Daughters-in-Law and 3 Sons-in-Law. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and four sisters.
