SERVICES: 2:00 PM Friday, December 12, 2003, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel, with Rev. Carl Novian, associate pastor of the First Baptist Church, officiating.BURIAL: Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mrs. Pirkle was born November 23, 1917 at Quanah, to Jim & Lenora Templeton. She married James Vernon Pirkle on June 16, 1934 at Eldorado, Oklahoma. During their married life, they lived in Hall County, Dalhart and Pampa. She was a wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker, and he was a firefighter. She had been a resident of Pampa since 1947, moving to Plainview in 1995. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and the Fireman's Auxiliary Club. She was preceded in death by her husband in February of 1985, two brothers and two sisters. SURVIVORS: 1 Son: Joe D. Pirkle & wife Yvie of Amarillo. 1 Daughter: Barbara Ann Davis & husband Harold of Plainview. 1 Sister: Naomia Harper of Amarillo. 4 Grandsons: Harold Davis Jr., of Rockport, J. D. Davis of Austin, Glen Davis of Lubbock, and Glenn L.
