SERVICES: Memorial services will be at 3:00 PM Thursday, Dec. 4, 2003, at the First Christian Church, with Rev. Barry Loving, pastor, officiating. BURIAL: Private burial will be at Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mrs. Maxey was born on November 15, 1921 at Breckenridge, Texas, and was a graduate of Pampa High School. She married Glenn Maxey on Feb. 10, 1943 in Columbia, South Carolina. He preceded her in death on Aug. 25, 1990. She was a Pampa resident most of her life and was a member of First Christian Church for over 50 years where she served as a Sunday school teacher and elder. Matthew 25:21 truly applies to Helen Maxey. She gave of herself unselfishly for her family and friends, putting their needs before hers. "Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things. I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your Lord."SURVIVORS: 1 Son: Rick Maxey & wife Mary of Corpus Christi. 2 daughters: Sue Atkinson, Joan Hasenauer & husband Leonard, all of Amarillo. 6 Grandchildren: Jarrett Atkinson, Grant Atkinson, Julie Seemann, Mandy Maxey, Eren Johnson and Linsey Johnson. 9 Great-Grandchildren.
