Theodore Roosevelt Cantrell

SERVICES: Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM, Friday, November 28, 2003, at the Floral Haven Memorial Gardens in Tulsa, Oklahoma, with arrangements under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Cantrell was born December 13, 1904 in Keota, Oklahoma. From 1923 until 1940, he worked various jobs in eleven different states. In 1940, he began working for Franks Manufacturing Company in Tulsa, Oklahoma. During World War II, he trained women to manufacture and build aircraft wing pins and balloon winches. In 1955, Cabot Corporation bought Franks Manufacturing and in August of 1957, Mr. Cantrell moved to Pampa, retiring in 1970. He continued to work for Cabot for two years under special contract. From 1980 to 1981, he worked for Crall Products, Inc., as a machinist. He married Ollie Melvinia Davis on June 16, 1931 in Eufaula, Oklahoma. She preceded him in death on January 10, 1998. SURVIVORS: 1 Son: Thomas Cantrell & wife Mary of Pampa. Numerous nieces & nephews.MEMORIALS: In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to BSA Hospice, 800 N. Sumner, Pampa, Texas 79065, or Pampa Meals on Wheels, P.O. Box 939, Pampa, Texas 79066-0939.
