She had been a lifelong resident of the Pampa area, graduating from Pampa High School in 1945, and attending St. Anthony's Nursing School in Amarillo. She married Harold Lawley on April 30, 1948 in Pampa. She served as vice president, secretary and treasurer of Production Consultants, Inc.
