SERVICES: 2:00 PM Saturday, October 25, 2003, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel in Pampa, with Glen Walton, minister of the Bell Avenue Church of Christ of Amarillo, officiating.BURIAL: Memory Gardens Cemetery in Pampa, under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mrs. Branch was born May 22, 1915 in Archer County, Texas. She married Houston Ray Branch on April 6, 1939 in Megargel, Texas. He preceded her in death on July 13, 2001. She taught school at Breckenridge, Megargel, Electra, Burkburnett, Albany and Pampa. She had been a resident of Pampa from 1960 until moving to Lubbock in 2000. She was a member of the Mary Ellen & Harvester Church of Christ of Pampa. SURVIVORS: 2 Sons: Melvin Joe Branch of Lubbock and Glenn Branch of Amarillo. 3 Sisters: Dorcille Allen of Wichita Falls, Glendora Hill of Fullerton, California, and Pat Hardegree of Yellville, Arkansas. 5 Grandchildren, 3 Great-Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Douglas Branch in 1984. MEMORIALS: The Children's Home of Lubbock, P.O. Box 2824, Lubbock, Texas 79408.
