Doug DuBose, retired Baptist minister, officiating.BURIAL: Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mrs. Vantine was born September 14, 1914 in Hollis, Oklahoma. She received a bachelor's degree from Southwestern Oklahoma University in Weatherford, a master's degree in education from West Texas State University in Canyon, and a master's degree in religion from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth. She had been a resident of Pampa since the 1950's where she taught in Pampa schools for 20 years, retiring in 1975. She was also a teacher in Oklahoma schools and in Phillips, Texas, was a real estate agent for Quentin-Williams Realtors, and was a Baptist church staff worker in Texas and Louisiana. She married John Logan Vantine on December 21, 1957 in Pampa. He preceded her in death March 1, 1977. She was a member of the Delta Kappa Gamma Sorority, Women's Missionary Union, Southwestern Oklahoma University Alumni, and the Alumni Association of the SWBTS. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Pampa. SURVIVORS: 1 Brother: Gerald B. Seright and wife Janet of Plainview; 4 nieces: Elaine Allison of Shawnee, OK, Sheila Williams of Sherman, Juanice Hayslip of Irving, and Mary Ellen McIlroy of Hurst; 2 nephews: Jerry Dee Seright of Vega and David Lee Seright of Irving; sister-in-law: Lucille Jobe of Quanah.
