Elijah Demerson of the Emmanuel Church of God in Christ in Amarillo, and Patrick Demmer, officiating.BURIAL: Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Born August 5, 1935 in Wellington. He had been a resident of Pampa since 1963. He married Judith Brown on October 1, 1967 in Borger. He retired from the Pampa Independent School District as an economics and business math teacher in 1995 after 23 years of service. He was a member of the Top O' Texas Kiwanis Club, Toast Masters, and the Open Door Church of God in Christ. He was a former troop leader for the Boy Scouts. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army, serving during the Korean Conflict and was later a member of the National Guard.SURVIVORS: Wife: Judith of the home. 2 Daughters: Valencia Barber of Laurel, Maryland, and Jeri Beauford of Denver, Colorado. 2 Sons: Robby Ellison of Waco, and Victor Chico Ellison of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. 1 Sister: Jewelene Williams of Denver, Colorado. 2 Brothers: Harold Ellison of Pampa, and Paul Ellison of Denver, Colorado. 1 Half-Brother: Audie N. Ellis of Pacific Grove, California. 7 Grandchildren. Extended Family: 3 Step-Sisters & 2 Step-Brothers, all of Denver, Colorado. He was preceded in death by a brother, Joe Ellison in 2002.MEMORIALS: Crown of Texas Hospice, 1000 S. Jefferson, Amarillo, TX 79101.
