SERVICES: 10:00 AM Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2003 in Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel with Rev. Carl Novian, associate pastor of the First Baptist Church, officiating.BURIAL: Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM Tuesday at Llano Cemetery in Amarillo with Masonic graveside rites courtesy of Pampa Masonic Lodge #966 AF & AM.BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Newhouse was born on Sept. 16, 1926 in San Antonio. He served for 4 years in the U. S. Army during World War II, attaining the rank of sergeant. He married Grace Gowin on May 7, 1965 in Pampa. He was a member of Pampa Masonic Lodge #966 AF & AM, Khiva Temple in Amarillo, and was currently president of the Pampa Shrine Club and the Sportsmen's Club. He was self-employed in the insurance business.SURVIVORS: Wife: Virginia Grace Newhouse of the home; 1 daughter: Sharron Newhouse of Houston; 4 brothers: Paul Newhouse and wife Francis of Mountain View, Arkansas; Jimmy Newhouse and wife Shara of Cibola; Charles Newhouse of Fountain, Florida; and David Newhouse and wife Betty of Northridge, California; 1 sister: Anna Newhouse of Spring Valley, New York; a grandson: Sean Newhouse of Houston; and 2 brothers-in-law: Charles Gowin of Pampa and Leroy Gowin of Andrews.MEMORIALS: Pampa Masonic Lodge #966 AF & AM, 420 W.
