Jim Ayres

November 22, 1910 — August 23, 2003

SERVICES: Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM Wednesday at Fairview Cemetery, with Paul Carruth, youth minister at First Christian Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.<br><br>BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Ayres was born on Nov. 22, 1910 at Sterling City, Texas and came to the Pampa area in 1912. He graduated from Pampa High School in 1927 and served in the Navy Seabees in the South Pacific. He worked for Cabot Corp. in the gas department from 1928 until retiring in 1965. He and his brothers accumulated 109 years of service at Cabot Corp. He was preceded in death by a brother, John Baer Ayres, in 1987.<br><br>SURVIVORS: 1 brother: Henry S. Ayres of San Antonio; sister-in-law: Lacy Ayres of Amarillo.<br><br>MEMORIALS: to a favorite charity.<br>
