Bob Meller, former pastor of First Baptist Church in Mobeetie, officiating.<br><br>BURIAL: Mobeetie Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa.<br><br>BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Mixon was born on Nov. 15, 1910 in Ravia, Oklahoma and had lived in Mobeetie for the past 12 years. He married Mozella Futch on Nov. 10, 1928 in Ravia, OK. She preceded him in death on Dec. 2, 1977. He later married Deanna Griner in October of 1979. She preceded him in death in October of 1999. He was a rancher, cowboy, and farmer in the Amarillo area for many years, working on the Kritser and Bivins Ranches. He was employed in the maintenance department in the Stratford Independent School District and farmed in Stratford for several years. He was later employed by Tejas Feeders in Wheeler and worked for the Wheeler Independent School District. He also farmed in Kelton for several years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Mobeetie.<br><br>SURVIVORS: 3 daughters: Juanell Brooks of Amarillo; Bobbie Burchfield of Oklahoma City, OK; and Jerry Meller of Mobeetie; 1 son: Leonard Mixon of Tishomingo, OK; 1 brother: Marion Mixon of Lovington, NM; 1 sister: Jo Gales of Elk City, OK; 9 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and 8 great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, J. M. and Mary Mixon, by a son, Jess Dalton Mixon in 1933, and by a great granddaughter, Tracy Brooks, in 1999, by 1 brother, and 3 sisters.<br><br>MEMORIALS: Palo Duro Nursing Center, Activity Fund, 405 Collins, Claude, TX 79019.<br>
