SERVICES: The body was cremated and will not be available for viewing. Memorial graveside services will be at 2:00 PM Monday, July 28, 2003, at Fairview Cemetery, with Rev. John Valdez, pastor of the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.<br><br>BIOGRAPHY: Mrs. Holmes was born October 20, 1920 in Schiedam, Holland. She was a nurse in Indonesia and the Philippines in the late 1940's, coming to the United States in 1951. She was a graduate of the Baylor School of Nursing in Fort Worth, and spoke 6 languages. She was a certified registered nurse anesthetist in various hospitals in Texas, New Mexico, Arkansas and Washington. She had been a resident of Pampa since 1985. She was a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.<br><br>SURVIVORS: 2 Sons: Donald Holmes of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Chris Holmes of Fairfax, Virginia. 2 Sisters: Greet de Zwijger and Netty van Rossum, both of Holland. 4 Grandchildren. <br><br>
