T. Howard Lockhart Sr.

SERVICES: 2:00 PM Tuesday, July 23, 2003 at the First Baptist Church with Glen Walton, minister of Bell Avenue Church of Christ in Amarillo, and Fred Anderson, of Amarillo, officiating.<br><br>BURIAL: Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.<br><br>BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Lockhart was born on April 22, 1913 in Higgins and was reared on family ranches near Higgins and Pampa. He attended Amarillo schools and was a 1932 graduate of Amarillo High School. He married Margaret Davis on June 26, 1932 in Clovis, New Mexico. She preceded him in death on Jan. 3, 2000. Mr. Lockhart was the son of Panhandle pioneers Charles Howard (Carl) Lockhart, Sr. and Elizabeth Mariah (Lizzie) Kennison Lockhart. He was a longtime Gray County resident with ranching interests in Hemphill County and Beaver County, Oklahoma. He was a member of First Baptist Church. Mr. Lockhart was a member of Pampa Country Club and was an avid golfer.<br><br>SURVIVORS: 2 sons: Tom H. Lockhart of Pampa and Bill Lockhart and wife Laura of Dallas; 1 granddaughter: Logan Lockhart of Dallas; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by 4 brothers: Bob, Carl, Ben, and Albert Lockhart, and by a sister, Murl Kenyon.<br><br>MEMORIALS: First Baptist Church, 203 N.
