Chris Webb, pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating.<br><br>BURIAL: Memorial Heights Cemetery in Lefors under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa.<br><br>BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Thacker was born July 10, 1926 in Paducah, Texas, to Robert & Jewel Thacker, and came to Lefors that same year. He married Belva June Johnson Hill on October 12, 1967 in Pampa. He was the owner and operator of Jack's Oilfield Service for 50 years, retiring in 1997. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Lefors and a member of the Lefors Lions Club. He was active in the Gideons organization. He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy, serving during World War II. He served on the Lefors School Board for several years. He enjoyed fishing. He was saved by Bro. Dan Beltz in 1952. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Robert M. Thacker, Jr., and a stepson O. C. Akins.<br><br>SURVIVORS: Wife: Belva June Thacker of the home. 1 Son: Robert Thacker & wife Sherry of Lefors. 4 Daughters: Sue Todd & husband James of Lefors, Connie Parks & husband J. V., and Gail Akins, all of Pampa, and Meledy Story & husband Kirk of Del Norte, Colorado. 10 Grandchildren, 4 Great-Grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.<br><br>MEMORIALS: First Baptist Church, 315 E. 4th, Lefors, Texas 79054. <br><br>
