SERVICES: 2:00 PM Tuesday at the First United Methodist Church in Pampa, with Rev. Mark Metzger, pastor of First United Methodist Church in Stratford, officiating.<br><br>BURIAL: Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.<br><br>BIOGRAPHY: Mrs. Babcock was born Sept. 19, 1918 in Lakeview, Texas to Luther and Belle Byars. She married Frank Babcock on Dec. 5, 1936 in Pampa. He preceded her in death in 1979. Mrs. Babcock was a homemaker and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Groom. She had a kind and gentle heart that went out to those around her. Lorene was a wife, mother, grandmother, and the matriarch of a large family which her whole life revolved around. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.<br><br>SURVIVORS: 2 sons: Don Babcock and wife Caron of Amarillo and Ronny Babcock and wife Dee of Pampa; 2 daughters: Joey Brister and husband Danny and Tommie Zuerker and husband Jack, all of Odessa; 1 sister: Maxine Collins and husband Gene of Amarillo; 12 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren; beloved niece: Sweetie Costanzi and husband John; and many beloved cousins, nieces, and nephews.<br><br>MEMORIALS: Circle of Friends, c/o Don and Sybil Harrington Cancer Center, 1500 Wallace Blvd., Amarillo, TX 79106 or Pampa Meals on Wheels, 201 E. Foster, Pampa, TX 79065.<br><br>SPECIAL NOTICE: The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 PM Monday at the funeral home. They will gather at Ronny Babcock's home at 1346 N. Russell.<br>
