SERVICES: 2:00 PM Friday, May 2, 2003, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel in Pampa, with Rev. Fines Marchman, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Skellytown, officiating.<br><br>BURIAL: Memory Gardens Cemetery in Pampa, under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa. <br><br>BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Novotny was born April 8, 1906 in Pawnee, Oklahoma. He married Alta Smith on June 21, 1947 in Hoisington, Kansas. He had been a resident of Skellytown since 1948, moving from Great Bend, Kansas. He was a bus driver for the Kansas State Institute in Larned, Kansas for several years. He later worked as a pumper for Drilling & Exploration Oil Co. for 16 years. He retired in 1972 from the Skellytown ISD after serving 8 years as a bus driver. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Skellytown and was a member of the Woodmen of the World for 63 years. <br><br>SURVIVORS: Wife: Alta of the home. Several nieces & nephews.<br><br>MEMORIALS: First Baptist Church of Skellytown. <br>
