Barry Loving, pastor, officiating.<br><br>BURIAL: Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.<br><br>BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Carruth was born on Feb. 1, 1904 at Lelia Lake and graduated from Pampa High School in 1922. He played guard for the Harvester football team in 1920-1921 and was named to Pampa High School Hall of Fame in 1998. He attended Watson Business College in Plainview where he studied business, banking, and business law. He also attended Wayland Baptist College and Texas A & M University. In 1933, he was employed by the U. S. Department of Agriculture as administrator of the Agricultural Adjustment Program. He transferred to the Texas Extension Service in 1936 in which he received honorable mention from the U. S. Department of Agriculture in their Rules and Regulations Manual. During this time, he organized the 4-H Boys and Girls Clubs in his county and did extensive work with them. In 1941, he transferred to the Federal Reserve and became associated with Federal Land Bank of Houston. He spent 5 years supervising loans in 7 counties, including Gray County where he resided.SURVIVORS: Wife: Neva Weeks Carruth of the home; 2 daughters: Barbara West & husband Russell of Houston and Yvonne Winegeart of Pampa; 1 son: Dayne Carruth and wife Beverly of Pampa; 1 daughter-in-law: Leta Carruth Jeffers of Pampa; stepchildren: Larry and Patsy Weeks of Amarillo; 1 brother: Glen Carruth of Tulia; 15 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren.MEMORIALS: First Christian Church, 1633 N.
