She had been a resident of Pampa since 1937. She married D. C. "Cotton" McCarthy on Oct. 21, 1939 in Sayre, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on July 28, 2000. She was a homemaker and a member of the Central Church of Christ.SURVIVORS: 1 son: Charles McCarthy of Odessa; 2 sisters: Ida Mae Berry of Clinton, OK and Vastalee Hicks of Pampa; 2 brothers: Leon Terry of Orange and W.
