SERVICES: Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM Wednesday, April 16, 2003, at Memory Gardens Cemetery with Dr. Randy White, pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Brewer was born Sept. 21, 1919 in Throckmorton. He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy, joining in 1944 and receiving his discharge in 1946. While in the Navy, he received self-defense training and rated a 3rd degree in jujitsu. He competed and taught judo as a sport and as self-defense for many years. He married Juanita Graham on May 21, 1939 at Haskell. She preceded him in death in 1990. He had been a resident of Pampa since 1947. He worked as a welder for Cabot and IRI, retiring in 1984. He was a 32nd degree Mason. He was a member of the First Baptist Church and the Sonshine Club.SURVIVORS: 1 daughter: Beverly Humphrey and husband Jerome of Pampa; 1 son: Curtis E.
