SERVICES: Vigil will be held at 7:00 PM Tuesday, March 25, 2003 at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel, and funeral mass will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, March 26, 2003 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, with Rev. John Valdez, pastor, officiating.<br><br>BURIAL: Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.<br><br>BIOGRAPHY: Mrs. Swaney was born December 14, 1918 in Moreland, Kansas, to Andrew & Christina Brown. She married Harold Raymond Swaney in June of 1937 in Kansas. They moved to Wickett, Texas where they made their home for their 4 children and many a friend or family member in need. Anyone ever needing a caring heart was never turned away. Helen took them in and loved them all. She was a caring and devoted wife and mother, but always found the time and a place in her heart for anyone in need of a helping hand. She loved to travel and was usually the first one out the door.SURVIVORS: 2 daughters: Edith Mann and husband Fred of Pampa; Kathy Davis and husband Kervin of Sayre, OK; 1 son: Raymond Swaney of Lefors; 1 sister: Margaret Swank of Commerce City, CO; 15 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson.
