SERVICES: Services will be at 2:00 PM Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2003, at Memory Gardens Mausoleum with Dr. Randy White, pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating.<br><br>ENTOMBMENT: Entombment will be in Memory Gardens Mausoleum under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.<br><br>BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Mercer was born on June 9, 1943 in Pampa. He received a degree in physical education from Illinois Wesleyan University at Bloomington, Illinois. He worked for IRI for 4 years and was director of racing for American Quarter Horse Association for 15 years. He was also director of racing at the racetrack at Bandera, Texas. He was a past member of First Baptist Church of Skellytown. He loved to hunt and play golf. He was preceded in death by his father, Clyde Mercer on October 19, 1962, and his brother-in-law,Jerry Mills on January 31, 1995.<br><br>SURVIVORS: 1 son: Mark Mercer of Atlanta, GA; his mother: Frances Mercer of Pampa; 1 sister: Sandra Mills of Perryton; 1 grandson: Ellis Mercer of Atlanta; 1 niece: Tomi Kay Repass of Arlington; and 1 nephew: Kelly W. Mills of Austin.<br><br>MEMORIALS: BSA Hospice, 800 N. Sumner, Pampa, TX 79065.<br>
